Highlights:
I EBIT (American Flange) from downward trend in 2003 to a positive ($890M), improved to “beat budget” 2004 ($1.8MM), Met budget yearly requirements in six months in 2005 finished fiscal year with $2.4MM. II Reduced workforce for transition to move production off shore during 2004 and 2005 reducing headcount by 80 people. (Original total headcount 110) Maintained Safety and Quality programs. III. Reduced cost for steel flanges/plugs from over 700$/M in 2004 to below $500/M by revitalizing Brazilian product sales. IV Increased direct container loads from 2003 (66) to 2004 (87), maintaining over 100 in 2005 and 2006. V Improved share of market in steel products from 46% to 55% during continuing transition. VI Established relationships with major customers that were damaged by previous marketing strategy. VII Spearheaded market introduction of plastic plugs for plastic drums totaling over 4MM units nearly $1MM in sales per year from 2004 to present. VIII Developed new plastic Edible Oil Plug, introduced to new market, zero sales in 2004, sold 6MM units $210,000 in 2005, 10M units $350,000 in 2006 added $120,000 and $370,000 to bottom-line respectively. (I share a patent) IX Negotiated for local supply of capseals in order to service the highly profitable printed capseal customer market.
