Description
COVER LETTER: To whom it may concern: I am applying for the (position) at your (company) because I know I can make great things happen for your company and the businesses you serve. I have over 20 years of experience selling and marketing tangible and intangible products and services on account or via cash and leases. My experience consist of inside sales, telemarketing (coast to coast and around the world) and outside sales in person via driving territories in New York City, Chicago, West Virginia, and Florida. Depending on the product or service, it takes up to three contacts to close a deal, (e.g., the first contact is for introduction/qualifying/setting appointments, at appointment make presentation/sell/close, if a third appointment is required - present adjustments/sell/close), you can make a presentation on the first call, and close when the customer has agreed that the advantages are beneficial to his company. I have experience being the #1 salesperson of the month and I know how to get there, I also know why "the cream always rises to the top." I've always met or exceeded quotas because I work hard and smart to earn my salary, commission and bonuses. Case and point, telemarketing coast to coast for US Telephone, a telecommunication long distance company in Chicago, IL, based in Dallas, TX. I made $8,700.00 commission in two weeks and $7,500.00 the next two weeks. I worked for Allnet Telecommunications in Chicago, IL as a outside Major Account Representative configuring and selling long distance services, I closed a deal worth $11,000.00 in monthly commissions. In New York I was a headhunter for The New York Urban League, my salary was $50,000.00 a year, plus monthly bonuses. Black Enterprise Magazine wrote an article featuring me in it regarding my clients testimony about how I market and sold her to employers to get her a job. These are just a few examples that demonstrate that I can make a difference to your company and customers. In closing, I've got to tell you, although I'm from New York, I am a country farm boy at heart. I left New York to come to South Carolina to see if I wanted to start a farm, and that's another story. Having said that, I do believe I am a great fit for this position and I'd like to discuss it with you after I wined things up in May 2016. I have enclosed my resume for your consideration. Please feel free to contact me in May 2016 via phone or email at a time of your convenience to discuss my background as well as the requirements for the role. Sincerely, Snell Van King
