Description
With a Master’s in Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and 10 years of experience in the human resources and business development, I am confident in my ability to serve as the Human Resources Manager/Generalist. I am thoroughly experienced and possess in depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws, DOL, EEOC, ADA, FMLA and Worker’s Compensation guidelines. My previous position did not require certification of Professional of Human Resources (PHR/SPHR) as I am scheduled to obtain my SPHR certification on May 1, 2015. My 12 years as the Business Development Coordinator and Director of Administration required that I serve as the Human Resource manager to grow and develop both professionally in my Human Resources knowledge and experience and as a leader within the organization. By implementing strategic human resource policies and procedures and working with the management staff the organization reduced employee turner, EEOC complaints and decreased training cost and new employee cost. In my previous position as the Director of Administration, I oversaw all administrative and personnel matters and lead the organization in the development of new programs and the organizations Policies and Procedures. Some of the duties included new employee orientation, administration of benefits, representation of the organization in unemployment claim hearings, responsible for day to day administration of human resource policies, exit interviews and other Human Resources duties. As the organization grew it was decided not to hire a Human Resources Manager as those duties would be assigned to me as the Business Development Coordinator/Human Resources Manager with the duties of Human Resources Manager which included: Revising personnel policies, writing the company Affirmative Action Plan/Equal Employment Opportunity, EEO-1, selection of the Workers Compensation Carrier and Health Care Benefits Carrier, and administration of Workers Compensation claims.
