This innovated programming is perceived SETTING A NEW VISION FOR VOA INDONESIA-RADIO ELSHINTA The program is a continuation of a previous interactive live programming between VOA Indonesia and Elshinta from as a response to a new phenomenon in global politics as political pendulum moves to Asia and Pacific. The program also featured how US should interact with a new political landscape in Asia during the 21th century. (Attached is a progress report prepared by me through Indonesian service chief for VOA top management. The report was prepared upon the request of radio Elshinta to celebrate its anniversary. The report focuses on efforts to explain by VOA Indonesian Service hosts and Radio Elshinta host on the trend of global politics that is shifting to Asia-Pacific and how the US and Indonesia respond to that political shift). Interesting moments. a. Live interactive interview with Indonesian rock band Slang when they were hosted by US ambassador in Jakarta at his residence following the band's tour to USA. b. Live interactive talk show with Indonesia's Joint Chiefs of Staff Djoko Suyanto when he was on his way from airport to his hotel in St. Petersburg as a member of Indonesian President SBY's entourage to Russia in 2006. c. Live interactive interviews during the visit of President George W. Bush to Vietnam (APEC) and Indonesia. One of the issues was on a diplomatic training program conducted by Indonesian diplomats for Vietnamese diplomats financed by US State Department.
