Business Planning 1. Assist in the strategic planning and outlook for products and services for the Residential Solutions Group. 2. Provide input into the development of budgets, business plans, pricing models, and revenue plan. 3. Assist in the effort to create, validate, secure approval to implement, and maintain a viable, working Business Plan consistent with the growth and profitability targets of the business unit. The Plan should include, but is not limited to the following content. 4. Facilitate meetings with appropriate levels of customers across representative market segments to validate our Business Plan. Capture any sales leads generated by this process. 5. Work with all departments involved in implementing the Business Plan to develop the business model that will produce the highest margin operation possible. Operational Management 1. Responsible for maintenance and development of all phases of the life cycle of the products, data and services including software, data, manuals and support materials, training, and associated sales collateral. 2. ssist in the effort to create, validate, secure approval to implement, and maintain a business execution plan within the constraints established by the approved Business Plan. This plan should include but is not limited to the following content: • Detailed project plan of the activities, skills sets, resources and owners required to realize the projections in the Business Plan. This plan should include milestones that map back to the business plan and provide formal review and decision points to validate progress against the business plan. • Identification of critical path tasks within the project plan. • Risk identification, assessment and contingency plan • Communication plan to identify and provide necessary visibility to all stakeholders • Establish goals and metrics to measure and evaluate performance of the business vs. plan. 3. Review and validate business requirements produced by product management. 4. Provide input and strategic guidance on product design issues so that product designs meet market need and are forward-looking to future growth and business direction. Financial Management 1. Assist in the initiatives to develop and secure approval for the annual capital and operating (revenue and expense) budgets associated with the business initiative in accordance with the MSB budgeting cycles. 2. Monitor the financial performance of the initiative against the approved budgets and take corrective action as required. 3. Identify and implement cost saving measures to produce the highest margin business operation possible. 4. Provide monthly reports against the approved budgets in accordance with MSB financial management process. Marketing / Sales 1. Co-manage the sales pipeline for the business unit with the Sales team and meet/exceed business plan sales projections 2. Provide critical support to sales process as a business representative who can align the service to customer’s business. Support maintenance and renewals of existing products and associated business, plus design of next generation programs 3. Create and manage the execution of the business marketing plan. 4. Measure effectiveness of marketing initiatives and adjust accordingly. 5. Assist in hiring, managing and motivating product managers that support the business defined herein. 6. Produce newsletters, white papers and collateral for products and services. 7. Make presentations to the industry about MSB and products and services assigned herein.
