Outside Sales Professional

Dear Prospective Employer, I want to thank you in advance for considering me for an outside sales position. I feel that I have a lot to offer your sales team and I would love the opportunity to meet with you to see if your company and I are a good match for each other. I come from a family of sales professionals. My father taught me a million closing tools and techniques while my mother taught me how to value a customer and make them feel appreciated. I like to think that I am a good combination these personalities. I can negotiate and close the sale “with the best of them” while knowing how to take really good care of the customer, listening to their needs, and understanding their concerns. I have been in sales since graduating high school. I cut my teeth by selling vacuum cleaners door to door while attending college. I am the guy that my friends say can “sell ice to an Eskimo”. I was managing a large account base for a chemical distributor in northeast Texas when I was awarded the Salesperson of the Quarter for Q2 in 2010. I take pride in building strong relationships with my customers, which leads to residual sales as well as referral business. I still have several customers from northeast Texas that keep in touch with me. We get together several times per year even though I no longer sell chemicals to their company.
