RssChief of Staff

I hold a Master of Science degree in Criminology, a honors degree in Psychology, a BA degree in Humanities and, as my CV testifies, have over 10 years relevant experience, specifically as a Chief of Staff, in managing an executive office environment, which includes broad-ranged operations and implementation management in respect of 515 people. Because of my international post graduate studies, training at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and collaboration with a multitude of international institutions, I also have a good sense of what works globally and how to execute with success. Internationally, I have provided executive support to facilitate the participation of my office in, amongst others, Corporate Council on Africa in Washington DC; INWENT conference in Germany; Corruption Expert meetings in Norway; and Cambridge, Economic Crime Symposium in the United Kingdom. Highlights of specific projects in my career in demonstrating the ability to deliver high-level presentations and to communicate include: • From 2004, compiled reports and individual and category scorings of approximately 47 officials on the Senior Management System (SMS) to the EXCO for performance moderation. This was in addition to coordinating the submissions of notch- and merit assessments of all office-personnel. • Compiled and presented the office budget to the EXCO and other senior committees on several occasions. The office budget ranged from R210m (rand) in 2001/2 to R266m (rand) in 2008/9. • Responsible for all Human Resource Management and Development functions within the office, including job evaluation and labour relations. In this regard, I also did a course on Job Evaluation in 2007. • Drafted 22 administrative contracts, which outline the various reporting lines within the administrative component, as well as the duties and responsibilities (including time frames). • Drafted approximately 80 job specifications for the various ranks in the office and responsible for ensuring that advertisements were placed in the national newspapers timeously. • Compiled the office's Annual Report for 2003 – 2004, the office report on statistics for the period 2001-2007, submitted to the Office of the National Director of Public Prosecutions and the Minister of Justice. I appreciate your time in considering my applications. Much appreciated Anthea
