SUMMARY OF SELECTED KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS • Aggressively managed and effectively solved many complex employee relations issues, thereby providing a much enhanced positive working atmosphere and significantly eliminating costly litigation and settlements costs. By using both project management skills and multi-taking, I was able to keep all teams vital. • Developed numerous HR Metrics and “HR Best Practices” which tracked and identified key organizational trends resulting in the data necessary to develop targeted solutions and significant cost savings to include safety, OD&T and Workers Compensation. • Developed 7 HR Managers located at the plant level and successfully helped them study for and pass the PHR testing in 2010 through weekly teleconference classes. • Used Oracle HRIS and Payroll online processes daily to keep a multi-location organization up to date, paid on time and HR compliant. • Conducted Civil Rights, Department of Labor and sexual harassment investigations. Responsible for actively promoting the company's posture as an EEO employer. Defended the company in 1 EEO preliminary hearing. 100% success in resolving issues resulting in the avoidance of formal hearings and costly litigation. In-depth investigation and successful resolution of more than 50 complaints. • Redesigned the organizations' training initiatives. Introduced a training strategy targeted at "First Line" supervisors which greatly reduced the number of employee relation issues, and introduced a "cost saving exercise" which resulted in a bottom-line savings of over $55,000 the first year. Administered, built and lead a team of generalist that handled all OD&T duties companywide. • Successfully administered and led a team of 2 workers comp generalist working with the safety, occupational health, risk management and legal departments for the successful lowering of self insurance rates for 2 years by lowering our liability through knowledge and training by 19%. • Effectively managed compensation programs. Prepared internal/market position analysis for more than 53 job groups resulting in a more competitive position in the marketplace. Maintained targeted budget for all year-end increases.
