Sales Manager

As my attached resume states, I have a strong summary of qualifications, due to my career in visual management and sales consulting with retailers as well as my degree from Syracuse University. I am currently the District Manager for Pier One Imports. In this position, I work with the Regional Manager overseeing the Pier One Imports stores in the Greater Philadelphia area. My basic responsibilities in this position include overseeing the Management, Profit and Loss and Merchandising at these stores. I am also responsible for making sure that the stores are following company policies and procedures regarding sales, visual merchandising, operations and customer service. Prior to joining Pier I Imports, I was a District Manager at Life Uniform’s Philadelphia Area stores. I was responsible for yearly, quarterly and daily sales, merchandise presentation, loss prevention/shrinkage and operations at these locations as well as hiring and training the sales staff and promoting merchandise at local colleges and hospitals. Prior to joining Life Uniform, I was the Store Manager for Paul Harris, a woman’s specialty retailer. At Paul Harris, I opened and closed the sales store, hired, trained and supervised the sales staff. I coordinated and planned fashion trade shows and special events in suburban New York, which increased sales in that region. I began my retail career as the Store Manager for Casual Corner in Nanuet, NY.
