CollapseAccomplishments

Highlights:

• Increased revenue in a declining market Q3 2007 by concentrating sales team on competitors’ customers. Won regional competition for most revenue generated. • Implemented cost controls to obtain an additional 10% in cost reductions over initial FY2007 budgeted amount, in order to mitigate the impact of negative revenue trends. • Led in the development and implementation of a company-wide plan to change procedures used to process automotive and industrial rentals, while maintaining a high level of customer service. • Recruited, trained, and reviewed branch managers and up to 9 sales reps at multiple locations. • Initiated programs to allow branches to maintain International Standard Organization (ISO) certification and to receive safety and operational audit scores exceeding company standards. • Worked on labor contract team as lead company representative to negotiate two, three-year union contracts affecting ~100 employees. Contracts were settled on time, with no disruption to operations and within corporate parameters. • Developed and implemented plan to increase rental rates in a competitive market, while maintaining existing customer base. Exceeded revenue and profit goals in FY2006. • Assisted in union contract grievance and arbitration case, securing management rights and saving the company substantial dollars in back pay. • Opened 150 unit branch within a three-month timeframe; procured site, set up operation, and hired branch manager and a staff of 14 employees. • Established good communication and management practices during multiple corporate transitions, which resulted in zero turnover and continued growth of the business. • Developed and delivered PowerPoint presentations to senior management. • Evaluated business infrastructure and implemented changes relating to fleet size and composition, staffing, and operations to accommodate growing automotive and industrial business. • Spearheaded company’s corporate relocation from North Carolina to Michigan within a three-month timeframe. Orchestrated move, negotiated lease on 20,000 sq. ft. office location to accommodate 70+ employees. Coordinated construction efforts, office layout, and information technology (IT) setup. Presented President’s Award for successful completion of project. • Worked on ISO implementation team which was instrumental in the successful completion of certification. Personal contributions included process mapping, setting standards, roll out and auditing. • Monitored fleet utilization levels of ~2,200 units within multiple equipment classifications. • Instrumental in establishing a system to efficiently and accurately manage the purchase and sale of fleet units. Maximized optimal use of dollars for capital expenditure. • Coordinated $200K construction project to redesign and build out branch facility. Project completed within budget
