Responsibilities
• Prepare for contract negotiations, discuss issues with union representatives, interpret union contract for management, represent management and lead discussions during grievance meetings, provide input and/or advice to management and employees during grievance process.
• Provide employee relations assistance to managers and employees. This includes leave-of-absence approvals, time off requests, disciplinary actions, suspensions or terminations, investigations and documentation of employee issues or violation of Company Code of Conduct, Collective Bargaining Agreement or any Company Policy. Partner with supervisors in meetings at which suspensions and terminations are issued.
• Provide support to management regarding all employment activity including sourcing, staffing, training, disciplining, terminations and investigating employee complaints and concerns.
• Manages bonus and merit increase programs.
• Responsible for approximately 1200 employees (manufacturing & logistics management team, bargaining unit employees and distribution center located in Greensboro, North Carolina and Puerto Rico.)
