A twenty-three year career military officer and combat pilot in the US Cavalry, Carlos Campos has experience in multiple command leadership positions, education, training development, training management, assessment, fiscal management, and policy development. His leadership assignments culminated in his designation as an Installation Commander where he was responsible for overseeing the operations and professional development of 278 personnel, an operating and logistics’ budget of over 20 million dollars, and installation equipment valued at over 200 million dollars. During his military career, LTC Campos supported missions in operations Provide Comfort ( Iraq), Task Force Able Sentry (Bosnia), and relief efforts in support of Somalia and Croatia. As the leader of DMT’s Youth and Family consulting practice, he oversees multiple program efforts that service youth and families in need. In this capacity, he focuses on the strategic direction, capacity building, and business development of all practice-level engagements. He also serves as the dean of the IACET accredited National ChalleNGe Institute. Carlos has also led organizations in increasingly complex educational and training assignments. He served in a congressionally mandated program to increase organizational effectiveness in the Reserve Force. As the course director at the U.S. Air Force Academy, he taught subjects to support organizational employment concepts. Later, he developed and taught leadership curriculum while serving as Department Chair of the Tobin College of Business St John’s University, where he was recognized as “Professor of the Year” in 2001. Carlos, a decorated veteran and graduate of the highly selective U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, was awarded a BA in political science from the University of New Hampshire and an MS in personnel management from Troy State University. In 1999, he received a PD in instructional leadership from St. John’s University. During his free time Carlos enjoys flying, scuba diving, golfing, and riding his Harley Davidson with his wife.
