Proof reads all requisitions and makes any necessary corrections, approves and submits requisitions for ordering and for payment. Over a million dollar budget. Multitasking Receives telephone and in-person request for services, including 911 emergencies and fire calls, citizen's complaints and general inquiries, differentiates between routine, priority and emergency request and initiates and follows through on responses or advises supervisory personnel as required. Assigns, coordinates and dispatches field units in response to requests for services, advises responding units of possible problem areas and monitors field unit activities, including Code 3 and emergence responses. Assumes full radio dispatching responsibility on an assigned frequency in the event of power failure or other emergency situation. Assist upper management with the overall office duties, including creating new forms, training new employees, analyze, research and evaluate information for special reports. Interacting directly with budget funding, analyzing and making recommendations for the solutions of a variety of problems. Track and issue blanket purchase orders. Responsible for maintaining bureau services and supplies budget. Complete management over fleet unit automotive resources, thereby assuring maximum operations of all assigned vehicles. Responsible for performing other specialized duties related to the overall management of the unit. Responsible for making decision on various vehicle services needed. Responsible for writing policy and procedures for fleet manuals. Scheduling Ensures that departmental vehicles are inspected, serviced and maintained in order to meet the operational needs of the facility or unit and completes report record monthly mileage usage, consumption of gas and oil, gas and oil quantities on hand and credit card usages. Assigns and oversees work performed by inmate laborers under the general supervision of sworn personnel.
