Description
COVER LETTER: Dear Sir/Madam: I am inquiring about your open Sales Representative position. I recently got laid off as part of an ongoing reduction in the sales team for School Specialty. This most recent reduction was 25% of the sales force. This was not a performance related decision. I am a self-starter with a proven track record. I know how to find new business and increase market share both within my territory as a whole and within my specific accounts. This includes showing growth over a number of different product categories within an account. I have learned over my many years in the field that through effective time management skills and hard work, you can best attain budgets and consistent growth through the development of positive business relationships. My interpersonal skills are by far, my strongest attribute. People buy from people they like. Customers buy from companies that they trust. I know how to connect and build trust with individuals of all backgrounds who represent their entity's best interests. Whether it's the decision makers, the decision influencers, or the gatekeepers, I know how to connect with individuals and build trust. I would welcome the opportunity to personally speak with you. I am experienced. I will hit the ground running. I will work hard. I will work smart. I will produce. References can be provided upon request. As a point of reference, I do not need health insurance. Thank you for your consideration. Either way, I look forward to hearing back from you through my above contact information. Have a great day. Sincerely, Mark Hurley
