Daily Duties at Digex:
• Planned and implemented enterprise wide monitoring solutions for 3,000+ dedicated Internet servers. • Researched and evaluated enterprise level trending analyses and monitoring tools such as: Computer Associates Unicenter, IBM Tivoli, Cabletron Spectrum, BMC Pilot solutions, and Systar Omnivision. • Fully deployed MicroMuse NetCool, Reporter, and ISMs to monitor multiple data centers. • Developed company 99.999% up time Service Level Agreement (SLA) reporting device. • Chaired company change control program that was directly responsible for approving any modifications to hardware and network that would impact any client. • Developed and implemented the DIGEX Company Information Center (CIC), to provide a single point of contact for executives, promoting communication, solutions and efficiencies. • Supervised a team of 73 via five direct reports on two coasts. • Developed a scaleable organizational structure that could be easily replicated in any location. • Implemented training, scheduling and personal qualifications standardization program. • Negotiated and managed all vendor contracts that impacted the operations center.
