Job mainly consists of putting number codes, ICD-9 & some CPT codes on hospital stays,emergency room & outpatient clinic visits as well doing the same on lab & x-ray reports & physician nursing home visits. Then the numbers assigned to eash diagnosos or procedure are entered into the computer so that the insurance companies can pay for the services rendered.
