Description
In July of 2000, I received a "Certificate of Recognition" by the Spokane County Commissioners, the Spokane Area Private Industry Council and the Washington State Governor for making it through an employment and training application through the Job training Partnership Act. Out of 3,000 other candidates in Washington State, I was the only one to receive the award. Lincoln County Hospital/Nursing Home awarded me for being the only volunteer Candy Stripper with perfect attendance for 1984 & 1985. I was also very active in volleyball, basketball, track, drama, band, choir, pep club, and cheer-leading for all 4 years of my high school days. It taught me discipline, teamwork, and most of all how to follow directions. I spent the summer of my senior year volunteering as a camp counselor. I was solely responsible for seven very high spirited boys ages 7-9. It taught me leadership, control, patience but most of all responsibility for someone other then myself.
