Experienced with OSHA reporting. Experienced with IRS reporting forms Payroll Specialist Compupay - Selma, CA - May 2005 to November 2009 * Review and import employee time cards. * Review payroll documentation for accuracy through audit reports and make any necessary adjustments. Obtain necessary approvals. * Sort and distribute payroll checks to designated locations. * Work with Benefits Administrator to ensure accurate benefit deductions and record keeping. * Review and audit master file and pay data entries, YTD totals, and file amendments. * Prepare periodic reports on earnings, taxes, deductions, and overtime. * Ensure bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls are processed in a timely and accurate manner. * Review computed wages and correct errors to ensure the accuracy of earnings. Ensure all changes to payroll are processed correctly. * Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files, including manual check log and reconciliation of payroll account. * Work with Benefits Administrator to ensure accurate benefit deductions and record keeping. * Review and audit master file and pay data entries, YTD totals, and file amendments. * Prepare periodic reports on earnings, taxes, deductions, and overtime. * Responsible for all garnishments, deductions, and vacation/sick accruals. * Answer inquiries regarding employment verification. * Review the accuracy of payroll deductions to payroll output documents. * Respond to employee inquiries and requests regarding payroll matters. * Process manual checks as requested. * Maintain and protect operations by keeping information confidential. * Perform other duties and special projects as requested.
