Description
To Whom it may concern, I graduated from the University of Kansas Business School with a bachelor ’s degree in science in 1997. My intentions were to go on to medical school. I took all of the science classes necessary to get into medical school. However, I decided to go to work for the Sprint Corporation in 1999. After working at Sprint for nearly 10 years I was able to get into the electronic health record industry. Mid year of 2008 I was offered my first training position in Epic. Since then I have been credentialed in clin/doc, orders, anesthesia, and optime. I have also been privileged to be a physician liaison in several hospitals as well as providing elbow to elbow support in multiple hospitals. I returned back to school in 2010 to obtain my nursing degree. I am a registered nurse in the state of Kansas but have not fully utilized those skills clinically. However the knowledge level on the clinical side of the EMR has proven to be enormous. Since graduating from nursing school I moved on to the project management side of implementations. I have project managed at least 15 go lives. I have been in front of CIO's, CMIO's and other executives for high level consulting services. The lessons learned I have obtained over the years has been proven to be very beneficial to the client. I have also had the opportunity in the past few months to engage in a couple optimization projects. In my personal opinion I believe there will be a lot of business in this arena in years to come. I have a passion for helping clinicians at all levels get through their work day utilizing their electronic health record software. Sincerely, Christine Alexander, RN
