As NYC Transit’s Asset Recovery Officer, I am responsible for disposing all unwanted material, and I have pioneered innovative alternate disposal methodologies to reduce disposal costs and increase revenues. NYC Transit’s Internet Sales, Artificial Reef Programs, “zero landfill” electronics recycling program, and the use of variable market indices for the sale of Transit’s scrap metals are examples of the programmatic improvements implemented under my stewardship.
