Highlights:

I have made work actually "happen by itself" by simplifying the most difficult designs, smoothing the roughest sites, motivating newcomers as well as old timers, and always running "interference" as a matter of course. In Viet Nam, I received four promotions in 13 months and was awarded a Bronze Star for Meritorious Service, all in a total of 19 months from swearing in to Honorable Discharge. In the US, I was able to run projects at major engineering contractors' facilities without any conflicts or setbacks. In the decades I spent in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, I was ALWAYS able to "make things happen "by themselves," because I ALWAYS ran interference to ensure that the designs were simple, practical, and comprehendible, while ensuring that everything needed was always available - including materials and support services, or providing complete explanations as to why it was not so.

Companies I like:

KBR, Chevron
