PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: SCANA Services, Columbia, South Carolina Manager, Supplier Strategy - 2004 - present * Manage a centralized team of employees in cooperation with working with senior level management, strategic sourcing personnel and business unit management to strategize and develop the company's supplier diversity initiatives * Develop and execute annual strategic plans that increases spend with small, minority, female, veterans, service disabled veterans and hub zone suppliers * Design Supplier Diversity systems that support process flow and tracking of vendor profile information * Implement benchmark measures that monitor procurement teams progress in meeting General Service Administration Small Business goals * Interface across business units/functions with internal and external customers * Create Supplier Diversity Score Card System to track vendor performance * Develop and moderate small business meetings and conferences * Identify sponsorships funds for various community events and trade shows related to supplier diversity initiative * Supplier Diversity sourcing lead and knowledge expert for fossil & hydro, nuclear, corporate, gas, wires and power delivery areas of the company * Develop and set company-wide annual supplier diversity spend goals for all operation business units * Partner with Carolinas Minority Supplier Development Council to create and monitor a certification process for minority businesses * Design and monitor supplier diversity risk mitigation and vendor validation models * Responsible for all vendor records on the accounts payable and purchasing systems of new and current vendors * Advise various committees throughout the company and external customers on supplier diversity issues and concerns * Manage a team of personnel supporting the vendor management and supplier diversity initiatives * Manage the team budget for all initiatives pertaining to the team's job responsibilities and salaries, market and advertise the supplier diversity program, identify internal personnel to represent SCANA at supplier diversity conferences, community activities, tradeshows, etc.
