I began my career with the Postal Service in October 1990 and worked there until I retired in December 2013. I started as a Craft Employee in Americus, Georgia and transferred to Albuquerque, New Mexico, and later to Macon, Georgia. I was promoted to Line Supervisor in Americus, Georgia in 1999. In 2005 I was promoted to Postmaster in Preston, Georgia. I have served as Postmaster throughout the state of Georgia during my years of service. Some of my career highlights were:  Collecting funds for post office box rentals  Providing customer service to over 25,000 postal patrons, daily  Coordinating Postmaster and Line Supervisor activities in the Gulf Atlantic District (formally the South Georgia District)  Negotiate with four different Labor Unions over labor issues and grievances  Managing Human Resources, to include hiring, training, and terminations  Supervising letter carriers and post office clerks in each district I also served in the United States Army, where I received an Honorable Discharge as a Corporal E-4.
