Accomplishments
Highlights:
(1) Appointed by corporate headquarters to act as the Chief Enterprise Technical Architect to provide technical leadership to five project teams comprised of technical and functional analyst from Naval Air Depots located in North Carolina, San Diego, CA, and Jacksonville, Fl. The task was to design and implement a standardized IT architecture at all three locations. In this capacity, I established, organized, and coordinated the project teams necessary to research, evaluate, and implement strategies that would permit each of the maintenance facilities to use common and/or standardized technical architectures. Using a standardized architecture permitted a common implementation of new information systems. Economies of scale and cost savings were realized with common hardware maintenance contracts, common software environments, and laid the architectural groundwork to implement common applications. (2)As a program manager, I provided the financial management, technical management, and personnel management activities necessary to build, operate, and maintain the corporate wide area network (WAN). I organized and supervised a nation-wide team of network engineers to design and implement the WAN. This included supervising the development of the architectural design, budget projections, and implementing project management principles, to include milestone scheduling, planning, review and execution. Pioneered the use of new technology termed “Inverse Multiplexing over ATM” resulting in the WAN Program being very responsive and able to support a multitude of different corporate applications.Companies I like:
ATT, Dish Network, Northrop Gruman, Bechtel, Kelly Services, YOH, Amazon, CSC, Illumina, Walmart, HSN
