Strategic Initiative #1 I developed a process through which 400 special education teachers could verify that they satisfied the requirements under No Child Left Behind to teach core academic subjects. This work involved developing a database of teacher credentials, analyzing those credentials against the law, establishing processes and procedures for which teachers could report credentials, and analyzing those results in order to educate teachers of next steps. As a result of my work 100% of teachers who sought to have their credentials confirmed through this process were able to do so, ensuring that the district did not lose teachers as a result of the law changes. Strategic Initiative #2 The grant application process in the district was disparate and was not aligned with the strategic plans of the local school or the district as a whole. I developed a managed an approval process through which staff throughout the district would obtain formal authorization to apply for grants based on the application’s adherence to district and local-level goals and objectives. The management of this process involved database administration, communication planning, and process development.
