COVER LETTER: To whom it may concern: I am a Pharmacist with an equal combination of hospital and retail experience. I have seen many changes in healthcare over the past fifteen years of practice as well as the many pitfalls of a currently flailing economy. The aforementioned dynamics have affected the efficiency and safety of pharmacy. Of my prominent abilities are adapting to differing work environments and the staffing changes that go along with such variability, which can be owed to years of floating in retail. It is widely accepted that pharmacist are multitaskers utilizing phone and computer all day long. I also excel in customer service, minor insurance issues, staffing shortages and problem solving in general. I have held positions with managerial and directorial status. So, I am able to appreciate co-workers while guiding them in the right direction through daily tasks. Being self-employed during such an economic crisis gave me many valuable lessons as well. Needless to say medical terminology is a part of a pharmacist's every ay life. My experience in hospital and retail settings as well as the drug safety industry, broadens my medical knowledge base. Working with physicians, nurses, physician's assistants, drug representatives, insurance companies and patients is part of a pharmacists daily work routine. This diversity and colleague comingling allows one to hone communication skills, which is essential in all successful interactions. My drug safety training helps me identify and implement proper reporting of adverse drug events, which is not always readily performed in a practice setting for it is simply overlooked. My masters degree in strategic intelligence allowed my analytic writing ability and problem solving skills to become academically structured and credentialed while providing a political knowledge base of how healthcare is affected by the changing world around us so as to make better decisions with these factors in mind. I am available immediately for the appropriate opportunity where my related work history should prove advantagious. I hope you find my skill set of use for the current position in consideration. As an agent of positive change in healthcare pharmaceutics, I am prepared to share my many years of experience. I hope that you will contact me in the near future at the phone number or e-mail above so I may further discuss with you my abilities and desire for implementing growth in any future endeavors I may hold. Best regards Tara T Hannon RPh.
