My primary objective is a direct hire, full time employee position. I will also consider a contract-to-hire or contract position. -- The longer, the better because... even when new-hires have the position's required skills, a large part of learning curve wages - up to 35% - pay for the worker to acquire process and business knowledge specific to the position. This investment in job learning is in reality not revenue-productive and it is discarded and paid again every time a position turns over - not to mention hiring costs. So it is in everyone's best interests to retain workers, contractors or not, long enough to benefit fully from that investment.
