Ambitious Electrical Engineer recent graduate

I am a recent graduate from New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) that majored in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Business Administration seeking to apply the technical and business knowledge acquired from academia in a practical work environment. Completing my college education at NJIT has not only earned me a degree in Electrical Engineering, but the experience has also taught me the importance of multitasking and goal prioritization. Each semester I have taken five to seven classes with conflicting deadlines ranging from electrical engineering to business management topics while maintaining a B average in my major concentration. Also, I held the position as Desk Manager at NJIT while enrolled as a full time college student. The responsibilities associated with the Desk Manager position were an introduction to the qualities of leadership, team building, and effective communication. As a Desk Manager, I was responsible for supervising a staff of 60 Desk Attendants in which I provided counseling and feedback pertaining to work productivity and professional development. Additional responsibilities of the Desk Manager role also included promoting teamwork between Desk Attendants and ensuring that university policies related to the dormitories were clearly enforced and abided by myself, my staff, and residents. I was afforded an opportunity by Quintiles-INNOVEX as an IT Project Manager for my professional development as an intern. As an IT Project Manager I was responsible for the development of a computer aided tracking system which allowed me to incorporate the institutional training I received in database management. The combination of the academia training received and professional experience acquired demonstrates how valuable of an asset I will be.
