Accomplishments
Highlights:
Placed over 200 individuals who have vision impairment and, in many case, who are mulitpli-disabled in employment. Developed new and creative programs to help ready persons who have vision impairment -- many of whom who also have secondary and tertiary disabilities -- for employment. Performed all of the above tasks working under severe budgetary constraints and was able to deliver effectice service within all limits. Performed outreach and public relations with employers to market the brand name of my employer as well as the concept of employment for persons who have vision impairments and, in many cases, multiple disabilites. Excellent interpersonal skills. Effective communicator verbally and in writing. (I wrote several grants that brought money to my employer to subsidize the provision of services.) Responsibilities
I am responsible for the management of an office of 25 professional staff and six clerical staff all serving the thousands of persons who have vision impairment in New York City.
By implementing creative, cost-effective programming, I am able to effectivley improve the delivery of services to this population. My interpersonal skills, analytical ability, willingness to engage productively with people from all walks of life, my knowledge of resources, my creativity in development, and my sense of humor all enable me to work successfully with people.
