Hand selected from among the Air Forces Senior field grade logistics officers to lead the logistics team at three major Installations as Senior Logistics Commander at Joint Base Lackland, San Antonio Texas, Scott Air Force Base Illinois and Taegu AB Republic of Korea. Additionally supported the Seoul Olympics. - Selected as Air Staff Senior Officer of the year in 2003. - Selected as "Best in Command' from among 7 installations for "Excellence in Contracting and Air terminal operations", culminating in 10 months of intensive direct support during surge operations in support of two major combat operations. Effectively managed sustained movement of "sensitive" high priority materials. -Won the City of San Antonio's "Green Fleet" award which drew State-wide recognition and the City's award for excellence by converting 60 percent of the installation's 120 vehicle fleet to natural gas, highlighting the Air Forces' commitment to environmental awareness and Service to the region. Led mission critical programs, including key business transformation initiatives at the Defense Logistics Agency that drove advanced technologies which improved the accuracy of order management, improved the the velocity of commodities flowing through the global pipeline. -As the Defense Logistics Agency's National Account Manager, was responsible for an 83% increase in direct sales to government accounts over 14 months through successful implementation of Customer Relationship Management, CRM market segmentation strategies with sales increases generating sufficient Return on Investment to reduce the service fees charged for DLA products and services. -Facilitated additional savings for DLA customers through partnership with DLA, capturing further savings by reducing requirements to hold replenishment stocks in global inventory. -Selected from among the Air Force's Senior logistics managers as Air Training Command's "Best In Command" for his expertise, team Leadership and Contracting support while Serving as its Commanding Officer. -Successfully won a Command sponsored Competitive Outsourcing competition, (A-76), resulting in the retention of the existing DoD Civilian workforce. Awarded Outstanding Unit Award by Headquarters Air Education and Training Command. 2003 - Selected as Air Combat Command "Air Force Senior Logistics Officer of the Year" 1980 Awards and Decorations include: Distinguished Service Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal wt 6 devices, Air Force Commendation Medal, Legion of Merit, National Defense Service Medal wt 1 device.
