Director Prior to the sale of the Pharmaceutical Technologies & Services, a division of Cardinal Health I was Director of the Global Application Support Team. Together we were responsible for 528 applications that made up of the main ERP applications, SAP (for Distributions and some MFG) and JD Edwards for the balance of the MFG, G/L, Fixed Assets, OTC, INV, A/R, Planning and PEM. This included support to the user groups across the Globe 24/7. I was responsible to keep all maintenance and license agreements current, as well as patches/upgrades on our servers current. Because most of our Systems in PTS were run on validated hardware and applications this all had to be accomplished within the guidelines of the FDA and SOX. My team of professionals was also responsible for supporting 57 interfaces to core applications, including AMEX, utilities, HR/payroll along with many MES applications. As (DIT) I had six IT professional managers reporting to me to support the PTS’s global applications 7x24 within SOX (maintained all application/hardware security) and 21 CFR part 11 (FDA) validation requirements. We developed a high availability redundant system on-site along with a hot site. Honeywell was going through a corporate acquisition by GE, when the SEC approved it, corporate employees were given a “must take” buyout. The European council never approved it, but we were out by that time. The PTS division of Cardinal Health was sold through an investment buyout again most of corporate were given packages, thanks again.
