RssUS Army Platoon Leader

I am a driven professional seeking a career field where I am challenged by new experiences. I am proficient at managing large groups (50+) of employees in the accomplishment of mission-oriented goals. My ideal career is in publishing, with logistics management a close second. I also enjoy organizing social and charitable events. I intend to transition during the next year from active duty military service to the civil sector. My five-year goal is to gain a management position in a growing field.

Major Responsibilities

For the past two years I have held a management role where I am responsible for the successes and failures of over 50 personnel. Together with my platoon sergeant and company commander, I am responsible for training and the planning the mission for my soldiers; for the readiness of my platoon's equipment and personnel; and for maintaining the health, welfare and morale of my soldiers. As part of our current mission (the Multinational Forces & Observers) I am also responsible for several hundred thousand dollars worth of combat equipment belonging to other military forces.
