CollapseAccomplishments

Highlights:

Created or upgraded and subsequently managed the accounting/finance function for several companies – both public and private, including the drafting of job specifications and hiring staff to fill those positions and subsequent training to support the department. Also, selected and implemented ERP systems best suited to support the organization in the most efficient manner in terms of initial cost, implementation, conversion, training and on-going maintenance. Also, identified information requirements and company metrics and personally designed and created reports within the Company’s ERP system to meet that need. Regarding risk management, my policy was to go out to bid for the company’s insurance portfolio every 3 years. Managed the SEC reporting process and provided the more technical disclosure on Stock Compensation (ASC 718), Income Taxes (ASC 740), Earnings Per Share (ASC 260), Segment Reporting (ASC 280) and Statement of Cash Flows (ASC 230). Drafted and implemented the Company’s SOP’s for CAPEX, T&E and Delegation of Authority among others. Managed the SOX compliance initiative through identification of significant processes and completion of process narratives, at which point the Company was sold and was no longer required to be SOX compliant.

Companies I like:

Preferably start-ups or companies looking to go to the next level or private to public offering equity.
