• Recipient of the Outstanding Student Service Award In Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) Department,

• The only undergraduate engineering student from my campus invited to attend and participate in the United States Round Table Discussion hosted by The University of New Mexico with Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings and local Congresswoman Heather Wilson in attendance to discuss the Nation’s plight to reform math and science education,

TEAMWORK EXPERIENCE
• Feedback Control Systems Course: Designed and implemented a digital position controller using Labview software and a DC servomotor, hybrid driver, data acquisition card (terminal), laptop computer, and connectivity devices for its hardware.
• Student Organization Project (Engineers Without Borders-University of New Mexico, EWB-UNM): As President of the organization, participated, trained, created and submitted project proposal documentation, acted as liaison between the following: Sacred Power (private sector donating company); student/faculty members; EWB-USA Technical Advisory Committee (official committee for procurement and approval of EWB student project proposals); UNM School of Engineering Deans Office; and UNM's Student Activities Office, as well as organized student members, teachers, and professional engineers to collaborate harmoniously resulting in the multi-teamed installation of hybrid photovoltaic (solar/propane) power systems to three single-family homes on the Navajo Nation in Ramah, NM, February 2007.
• Signals & Systems Course: Developed, designed, and virtually implemented a unidirectional baseband transmission system via Matlab software.
• Senior Project Team: Researched, designed, and developed an image transfer device using Xilinx ISE 9.1i software as well as Matlab for preliminary testing purposes. Hardware devices included the following: Xilinx Virtex-II Pro FPGA board, USB-JTAG system, laptop computer, and a PC.
