My name is John Day and I have spent the majority of my time in budgeting, planning, forecasting and reporting. Here are a few of the responsibilities I have had throughout my career:
� Extensive experience in the are of Budget, Planning and Analysis.
� Over 15 years of experience working with the direct sales force as well as direct customers on planning and management of their accounts.
� Revenue and expense planning and analysis for entire Direct Sales division worth $1.2B in sales.
� Coordinated and ran complete annual revenue forecasting and expense budgeting for the division I supported.
� Direct responsibility for reporting financial results to the Executive Vice Presidents of total U.S. Direct Sales responsible for 1.2B in revenue.
� Executive level financial planning and modeling which includes the monthly creation and submission of the sales forecast to Senior Management.
� Supervised various levels of accounting employees from Controllers to Senior Financral Analysts to Staff Accountants.
Here are a few of my accomplishments throughout my career:
� Improved profitability for the Midwest Sales Division at Nestle Waters from 12.2% to 20.8%.
� Spearheaded project request from CFO to reduce paid for stock inventory.
� Improved collection results by $10M, which increased cash flow and lowered the day�s sales outstanding.
� Completely re-engineered the sales forecast process to bring the accuracy within 5% of sales results.
� Coordinated a project with a major customer to solve an inventory forecasting issue that then resulted in the award of several bids that had issued.
� Directly responsible for reduction of overage inventory which resulted in a 30% reduction or $30M in inventory that the company recognized as revenue
� Generated over $750k in cost savings while managing expense budgets for 2 Vice Presidents, 18 Regional Managers and 290 Sales Representatives.
