Accomplishments
Highlights:
• Succeded in Bringing external research grants of the amount $238,000.00 from EPV Solar, NJ (a lower-tier subcontract of a project funded by NREL) as well as from National Science Foundation. • Observed for the first time light I-V is crossing dark I-V in polymer/a-Si:H solar cells, this new results so far has not been reported in semiconductor physics. • Developed silicon thin-film with “five-fold” symmetry or “icosahedral’ symmetry, a “first” report of “Pentile” formation in silicon semiconductors. • Worked as a Project Staff Scientist at Thin Film Divison, Solarex as well as at BP Solar and led simultaneously 2 or 3 projects to develop a-Si single-junction as well as tandem-junction solar cells. The highlight of the accomplishment is the milestone of the company of FY2000 was achieved in FY1997. • Led three projects simultaneously at the Laboratory of the Thin Film and Interface at Ecole Polytechnique, France and developed “novel” poly-Si thin-film synthesized by hot-wire CVD. • Led simultaneously multiple projects at Sierra Solar Power, Inc., CA including one to develop a reactor for post-treatment of hydrogen of semiconductors for solar cells applications. • Consulted to NanoGram on silicon solar cells fabrication process, procurement of equipment and improvement of solar cells device testing procedure. • Selected by National Science Foundation to select talented graduate and post-doctoral fellows for Global School for Advanced Studies (GSAS) held on September 19-29, 2006 in Taiwan. • Awarded First Best Young Physicist Award from Indian Physical Society, 1994.Companies I like:
