Highlights:

Created and drove a cross functional team to analyze and provide solutions to our organization’s ongoing product margin erosion. We identified opportunities and executed solutions resulting in a 1.25% improvement in product margins, leading directly to an annualized increase in operating income of $1.1 million. Solutions included surgical price adjustments where possible, lean design engineering events to cost-reduce high volume products, discontinuation of a limited number of products, and placing controls over pricing override ability. Integral in Dickey-john’s shift in strategic direction from an after market focus in our electronic sensor group to an OEM partnership focus. We provide innovative engineering solutions to our OEM customer’s most difficult issues and in return we have a clearer view on where the largest players in our industry are heading, enabling us to better position our proprietary analytical product lines. Commissioned an assessment of hardware and software capabilities, along with a critical needs assessment of IT infrastructure to address chronic IT under spending in the last seven years. Created a 5 year plan, along with the Director of IT, to address deficiencies throughout the function.
