Mr. Thomas (Tom) DePaoli is a talented supply chain and human resources executive with outstanding corporate purchasing turnaround experience of twenty plus years. He has executed various Lean Six Sigma programs and deployments with numerous organizations. Mr. DePaoli has solid information systems project manager skills with end-to-end responsibility for successfully reengineering organizations. Mr. DePaoli’s expertise is in both the supply chain and human resources areas. Mr. DePaoli is a hands-on leader who ran multi-partner consulting solutions for transformation, e-procurement, e-commerce and change management. He has broad global sourcing and negotiating experience in the chemical, paper, pharmaceutical, IT, automotive, consumer, equipment, services and consulting industries. Mr. DePaoli transformed three bureaucratic purchasing groups in the paper, chemical and machinery industries into the supply chain concept. He rationalized suppliers from over 2000 to 219, cut paper transactions from 40,000 to 8,000 and slashed transaction costs of $150 to $3. He has installed five purchase card plans and numerous e-procurement systems for end-user self-service buys. Mr. DePaoli ran innovative supply chain, sourcing and e-procurement IT solutions, generating add on sales of over 55% while consistently exceeding client expectations. He routinely had direct reports of fifty plus with matrix responsibility for over two hundred. Recently he introduced commodity based sourcing for a fortune one hundred client for MRO and equipment that achieved price reductions of form seven to nine percent on one billion dollars of annual purchases. Mr. Depaoli has led spend analysis for five conglomerates to focus strategic supplier selection efforts. All the clients became references. Mr. Depaoli also has extensive human resources skills. He created a successful change transformation process and user education for a major SAP R/3 project. He designed the job training for the software modules and achieved a client instruction delivery rating of 9.1 on a scale of 10. He has designed and implemented customer centric organizations and installed a human resources web self-service system. As a negotiator he was chief spokesperson for four joint management-labor partnership contracts. Mr. DePaoli Implemented a pay-for-skill compensation plan that reduced maintenance crafts from 22 to 3 and installed a technician-type system. He is holds a PhD in management from California Coast University, an MBA from the University of Notre Dame, a top secret SCI eligible security clearance as a Captain in the US Navy Reserve and is multi-certified in purchasing, e-commerce, the supply chain and human resources.
