This is a working level job which requires incumbents to use a working knowledge of human resource and administrative policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Incumbents provide the full scope of technical support to human resource professionals in a human resource office in a variety of functions including recruitment/staffing and classification under the direction of a Human Resource Analyst or Specialist. Duties include: performing payroll functions such as processing and tracking actions and researching and resolving problems; providing office support functions such as typing, scheduling, telephone, distribution of information and records management; explaining basic human resource policy and procedure to employees and supervisors; scheduling interviews or use of training facilities; utilizing human resource systems to process records; conducts new hire orientation, etc.
