Developed new (ski) market for pultruded fiberglass laminate, second in sales (3 million) in 1974, wrote all corporate product specifications for Fibercast. Developed new markets and valve, had all OEM's specify our products, and assisted OEM's in design of products (IWT) while with Cabot. Developed new markets for Japanese solar energy products and processes while at NHK. Assisted many clients with creating the proper image, developing a greater client base and increasing their sales while at Artwerks. Had the ski industry donate $12,000 in prizes for the New Mexico Masters racers each year. Sixteen of my black & white prints were purchased by the Art Institute of Chicago. TEACHING AND OUTDOORS ACTIVITIES RESUME Jerry Sinkovec 208-523-1545 5045 Brennan Bend Fax & Phone Idaho Falls, ID 83401 Since relocating to New Mexico, I've started the New Mexico Masters Ski Race Series, a FIS race series, which raced at all of New Mexico's ski areas starting in 1988 and ending in 1991. We raced SL, GS, SG and DH. I raised $12,000 a year in prizes from sponsors in the ski industry, and Corona Beer, our major sponsor, contributed over $8,000 a year to run the races. I've also been involved in developing shooting programs and competitions in skeet and sporting clays. I also started to instruct in shotgun shooting on a national level in 1995, and I'm endorsed by Browning Shotguns. I received my Instructors Certification in shot gunning at Ferlach, Austria in 1995. That certification would be equal to a NSCA level III instructor's certification. Mountain Adventure, Chicago, Ill. /Albuquerque, NM, Owner/Director. The school is dedicated to making people more aware of themselves, their capabilities and of the environment, they live in. The school helps the individual develop their full potential in life and teaches them self-confidence and self-esteem. The type of courses taught are: rock climbing, executive wilderness experiences, ski mountaineering, ice climbing, stress management, backpacking, survival, winter mountaineering and cross country bike trips. Topics covered during courses included geology, weather and environmental subjects. Classes were conducted in Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Wyoming and Colorado and New Mexico. I also taught for George Williams College, Oakton Community College and the College of Du Page, Alpha One Programs. The above was on a part time basis Mountain Adventure, Chicago, IL. /Appleton, WI. Consultant, lecturer and instructor. I functioned as the above for the Department of Natural Resources in the State of Wisconsin and in the State of Illinois, The University of Wisconsin, and Lawrence University and for several retail businesses. I trained some of the staff at the University of Wisconsin, designed outdoor programs and taught courses for both instructors and students. Some of the courses taught were ski touring, winter camping, winter survival training, rock climbing and basic mountaineering. I also taught some of the same courses at the Janus Ski Shop. I also trained sales people in the sporting goods business in sales and customer relations. I also set up a bike race series for the Janus Ski Shop and helped them set up a series of outdoor programs including tennis. The above was on a full time basis. In the early seventies, I guided for the Iowa Mountaineers and taught rock and ice climbing for them. I also taught skiing for the National Outdoor Leadership School on a part time basis. From 1964 to 1966, I was the Assistant Director of the Winter Mountaineering School at the Colorado Mountain Club in Denver. In 1959, I started climbing with the Sierra Club at Tahquitz Rock, Ca. while in the USAF I was the expedition leader for the first successful winter ascent of 14,005 ft. Mount of the Holy Cross at Vail, Colo. on Jan. 2, 1966. and on the following year on Capitol Peak. I also have the first solo ascent on Glacial Canyon Wall, Colo. I have made numerous ascents on Longs Peak, Colo. and numerous other major 14,000' peaks in Colo. in both winter and summer. Other major peaks in the U.S., Europe and Canada have been climbed. My general climbing ability is 5.9/5.10, and I'm a certified alpine and nordic ski instructor. I gave up my certification in the early eighties, as I didn't have any need for it any longer. My photographs and stories have been published in magazines and newspapers on a national and international level. I normally have to wait six months after the articles first being published before it can be sold again. I do a lot of writing in the following areas: travel, adventure, history, wildlife, natural science, culture and life. More recently, I've been writing about food, wine, microbrewery beers and paring them to wild game dishes and doing restaurant reviews. I supply the photography for all my articles, which makes the editor's job easier.
