Career Objective: Possible career change where my skill set and leadership/management experience parallel employers need.
Fifteen of my eighteen years in education were in school administration and leadership. My administration experience nurtured a high level proficiency, knowledge, and understanding in the skills of decision-making, organization, communication, fiscal integrity, time management, competence, and professional awareness. Most importantly, I learned and truly believe that a great leader is a servant leader! I served our students, staff, parents, and external stakeholders by being accountable to high expectations, strong employee engagement, and ideal workplace culture.
I have embraced change in my professional life by making the decision that after 15 years this would be my last year as Principal in Chicago. The three-hour daily commute was not allowing me to server the most important people in my life – my family! I have now started the job search for employment closer to home and I welcome the employment opportunities where I can utilize my management experience and passion for leading.
