Assisted with the siting and development of over 1,300 MW of utility scale solar energy facilities in the mid-Atlantic region and in several western states. Required coordination with local and state government officials to facilitate permitting and construction of solar facilities ranging in size from 5 MW to over 100 MW, on properties from several hundred to over 1,500-acres in size. The work included multi-media environmental support to the NA3 project team for compliance with applicable regulations and permits. Specific responsibility for the coordination of environmental training for regulatory and permit compliance, regular interaction with project staff and project contractors on environmental matters, regular oversight and coordination for environmental monitoring, inspections, and regulatory reporting. Required close coordination with client's corporate environmental department to ensure compliance with company and governmental requirements. Significant compliance monitoring experience with storm water pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) implementation and monitoring, as well as Virginia Water Quality Protection permit monitoring and reporting. Project Manager responsible for site assessment and regulatory permitting for a new gas-fired power station in Buckingham County, Virginia. Performed due diligence and fatal flaw analyses during initial project development and planning stages. Worked closely with the design team to minimize environmental and cultural impacts including endangered species surveys, wetlands surveys, cultural resources assessment, and visual impact surveys.
