I * Work Implemented new (and maintained current) Safety SOPs Chair Safety Board involving members and of management and staff Head of occupational safety for over 430 employees at two main branches and 12 sub centers across Chicagoland area. Report directly to Director of Quality Assurance Directly responsible for delivering, and assigning delivery of, annual safety training to all employees Responsible for vehicular safety relative automotive fleet including company coaches, vans and passenger cars. * Utilize computer based policy and procedure system and was as for record keeping and delivery of exams relative to occupational safety. Maintain high level of professional focus on Bio-hazardous Waste Control and Bloodborne Pathogens. * Ensure that all centers maintain safety focus while they deliver customer service to donors and internal customers * Currently proposing new van options to address ergonomics needs of staff. * Rolling out Fleet Safety, Powered Industrial Truck and Contractor Safety programs company wide. closely with management teams from different facilities to foster an operations level driven safety program Obtained working knowledge of BN's two different manufacturing processes and their relative impacts on varying applicable OSHA Standards. * Reduced OSHA Recordables by 50 percent and DART by 47 percent in year on year comparison through first quarter of past fiscal years. * Developed in depth of repository of safety information which is housed in BNs dashboard utilization Sharepoint. * Work with BNs IT Department to continually improve safety information system to reduce time consideration for operations through ease of use. Driving safety culture change through face to face and group communications * Provide written program and compliance training to US facilities and guidance to the other global sites. * Report up through the Corporate Human Resources Department in this senior leadership role.
