Description
Conduct sensitive to confidential background investigations for the Federal or State government and/or their clients' to determine an individual's suitability for employment or continue employment with the federal government or their clients based on the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Federal Investigative Services (FIS) standards for purpose of obtaining and retaining their security clearance. Review credit reports verify selective service requirements through approve website. Review files for derogatory information request and review security documents. Ensure all Top Secret files are protected and marked clearly. Review all cases for final pre-employment processing. Make recommendations for suitability determinations base on security suitability standards. Check the Central Verification System (CVS) and Personnel Investigations Processing Systems (PIPS) if OPM case where appropriate applying reciprocity for agency with pre-security clearances investigation prior to initiating a case in e-QIP.
