Accomplishments: We grew the staff from 2 sales people to 4 Internal Sales Marketing Staff, 6 Outside Sales Staff and 5 Service Technicians. Our volume of sales at the beginning of the structuring was $500,000 and when I left to move back to Dallas we had a volume of 2 1/2 million in gross review Skills Used: The overall market was very small with a substantial amount of competitors. We had to analyze the market very well and not be the cheapest and sell on our ability to provide the best service on a timely manner. This was very demanding from the beginning. It became increasingly easier once the market understood our abilities to service the end user. I was employed on a two year consulting contract with Powers. My family stayed in Dallas while I traveled back and forth to Arkansas. I decided to move back to Dallas when the two year contract expired. MJ Air Products - Dallas, TX - January 2002 to June 2013 Accomplishments: We grew the company from zero sales to 12M in sales with a gross margin of 35 to 40% through dedication and extremely hard work. Developed one of the best sales teams in the DFW market 16 external sales people and 7 internal sales people. We won top tier awards every year for sales growth and overall territorial sales. Skills Used: Listening, mentoring, teaching and relationship building are skills I have used to create this group of outstanding people. We actually built a team from scratch. Every hire was new to the industry and we developed their skills to be the top tier sales person in our industry. Our team was by far the leaders in the market place. We created a group of young men and women that wanted the same thing and that was to win every day. We took the 'Customers for Life" to whole different level. Air Device Warehouse - Dallas, TX - January 1989 to December 2001 Accomplishments: We grew the business from 1.5M to 20M with a group of 12 external sales people and 6 internal service sales people. We one top tier awards every year with our manufactures through sales growth and overall margin for sales Skills Used: This was my first job and it grew into a managerial position. The sales staff was much older than me and this allowed me to truly understand how to deal with a diverse group of sales people. This also made me a much better salesman overall calling on Building Owners, Developers, General Contractors, Mechanical Engineers, Mechanical Contractors and Industrial Contractors. Building "Customers for life" was our continual motto.
