ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provided leadership, strategic planning, major decision making, and administration for a complex multi-Company Defined Benefit/Contribution, Deferred Compensation, Health & Welfare Q&NQ plan (s), including benefit (s) active employees, retirees and several Union (s). * High level participant selecting, launching, and engaging an Outsourced Centralized Benefits Center vendor (s) for HSA/FSA/FMLA/COBRA/Occupational Health administration. * Researched, recommended, developed, and oversaw the administration of new or modified plan (s) and policies across multi-Companies, including but not limited to self/fully insured cafeteria plans/VEBA/401 (h) Trusts. * Assisted with resolution of escalated benefit issues or adjustments under plan documents, vendor contracts, regulations, and/or requirements, made recommendations regarding process, procedure, program documentation, compliance, and communication improvements for efficiency and/or cost control. Participated in designing, and deploying competitive pension, benefits and, Total Reward program (s) in accordance with Company strategies, practices, process, regulatory, audit, and SOX compliance. * Executed funding/payment authorizations with vendors, participants, and institutions. * Worked collaboratively with Finance, Legal, Treasury, Actuaries, Auditor (s), Executive (s), HR Generalist (s), Business Units, Labor/Union Board (s), Fiduciary Committee (s), Payroll, Employees, Retirees, Health/Safety Audit Committee and Company vendors (s)/agencies. * Modernized operations and increased efficiency while setting a professional tone, establishing cooperative partnerships and providing high levels of customer service. * Coached and supervised a staff of eight in addition, outside contractor (s), HR Representatives and peers with the goal to improve efficacy and customer satisfaction.
