CollapseDescription

I have lived in Fresno all my life. I went to Fresno City College, CSU Fresno, and Fresno Pacific College right after I graduated from Bullard High School. I began a career in Early Childhood Education in 1983. My first job was Saint Agnes Child Care Center where I worked for sixteen years. I have a son who is in eighth grade and my daughter is in sixth grade. I enjoyed taking my kids to work with me for around seven years, a wonderful experience. I taught at Clovis Elementary as a Preschool Teacher/Director for two years, worked for Webster Elementary Child Development Center for two years, and substituted for Fresno, Madera, and Central Unified School Districts for four and a half years. I have substituted in all grades Pre-K thru High School. I have taught Preschool/Pre-K for nine years. I was the Public Policy Chair for CCAEYC, active for the past five years. My last job was working at Valley Childrens Hospital: An Easter Seals Child Development Center as a Preschool Teacher. I am attending the University of Phoenix working on my Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction in Adult Education. This last year, I was in the Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential program but am now moving in the direction of teaching at the college level. Recently, I have had many life changes and am looking for new challenges that will help me to reinvent myself. I anticipate teaching at the college level. The Online experience that University of Phoenix is providing a challenging and meaningful curriculum, this experience has motivated me to elearning and distance learning. I have two classes left before completing my MA-AE Adult Education Program. Currently looking for employment as a college instructor and have graduated in June of 2007.
