To utilize my skills and experiences in either ORGANIZATIONAL DESIGN / RE-ENGINEERING or Executive level HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT or BOTH. Organizational Design / Re-engineering Key summary elements: 1. I was one of six senior managers in a one hundred and fifty thousand employee organization charged with the development of a state of the art organizational redesign process utilizing the latest in design techniques to create HIGH PERFORMANCE WORK SYSTEMS: 2. Pay and reward system design, employee business focused empowerment. 3. Business planning including environmental scan and assessment tools 4. Work redesign (value added only) task analysis and business process redesign. 5. Structural alignment redesign, including vertical, horizontal integration and hybrid designs. New product "star" concepts and team design and implementation. 6. IT process mapping and "pull up/push down" information realignment. High Performance decision-making processes. 7. High Performance Work System Cultural Change including employee empowerment and progressive management systems 8. Integrated team based operations and servant manager concepts. Diversity training. 9. I delivered the technology to every type of organization as part of the company customer retention program over a five year period. 11. I founded and managed ODC, Inc. ( Organizational design Concepts ). For over 15 years, ODC delivered Total organizational redesign consulting to manufacturing companies, service organizations, medical facilities, insurance providers, engineering companies, HR firms, chemical companies, traffic and distribution firms and many more In companies including but not limited to: Chevron, Heat Craft executive headquarters, Lennox Industries, Ontario Workers and Insurance Company, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Armstrong AC, Richmond Refinery Poly Chem Division, Reem USA, Carrier, GTE, 4 Heat Craft manufacturing facilities in both non union organizations and unionized firms including Teamsters, United Chemical Workers, UAW, Canadian Union of Public Worker and others. Human Resources Management Held many HR leadership positions for Digital Equipment Corporation including: 1. International HR Programs Manager reporting directly to the International HR Manager and responsible for the world wide "organizational transformation program" . Moving 150,000-person organization to empowered based high performance work systems. 2. Human Resource Manager for the Northeast Technology Center for Digital Equipment corporation. Responsible for a staff of over 100 employees in HR and facilities providing services to over 35,000 employees and 13 senior management teams. My HR staff consisted of 13 OD consultants, 4 compensation (pay system) designers, 10 benefit coordinators, 5 recruiters, 3 HR IT consultants, a diversity mgr and admin staff. Responsible for the delivery of HR services and benefits, recruiting, Organizational Design and Development and creative rewards systems. I was personally also responsible for community relations and organizational effectiveness consulting to 13 senior level engineering managers. 3. Country Manufacturing Human Resources Manager (Canada)- responsible for a staff of 30 delivering HR services to manufacturing employees in areas of benefits, compensation, recruiting, recreational activities and general HR responsibilities Ideal job situation At this point in my life, I am not interested in career building for myself, but would rather provide the organization with the benefit of my years of experience in HR and OD equipping the organization with an HR function that is well trained and motivated to serve and create business beneficial programs and products - and perhaps leaving the organization with a well rounded HR management replacement. I would also consider a temporary or consulting role in order to reduce management costs.
