NEGOTIATIONS AND RISK MITIGATION HIGHLIGHTS * Successfully helped CMI in closing their difficult and high-risk projects through negotiations averting legal entanglement. A few anecdotes worth mentioning here: o In 2011 averted an extremely volatile situation with a customer in North-west of China who had stopped all payments and had threatened a lawsuit. With over five million dollars and reputation at stake, CMI President and head legal counsel asked for my intervention in about four months through negotiations and little give and take the situation was resolved with release of payments and restoration of relationship between both parties. o In 2007 averted a serious dispute between CMI and Shougang Steel on know- how transfer contract Shougang claimed breach of contract and demanded refund of payments made up to that point, i.e. 70% of $6M contract as well as termination of contract. They were ready to sign a contract with Thyssen Krupp. To make the matter worse they threatened to blacklist CMI from bidding on their future ongoing prospects worth over $150M. Again I was asked to intervene. Through negotiation and strategic maneuvering I was able to reverse the situation and the know-how was completed with release of full payments. Worth mentioning here is that CMI won two more contracts with the same customer worth over $120M. I got appreciation and a jade decoration piece from this customer for this effort. o Presently I am part of Steering committee and - on case by case basis - head of Crisis committee to resolve difficult and risky situations. 3 HUMAN RESOURCES HIGHLIGHTS * Promoted a culture of learning through employee development and motivational programs, driving continuous improvement in productivity and efficiency at all levels. * Great focus on accountability and empowerment of workforce. * Provided training to Managers on "Art and Science of Project Management", "Negotiation", and "Communication" REGULATORY COMPLIANCE HIGHLIGHTS * Played a key role in establishing Quality Assurance Program across engineering and manufacturing activities - substantially reducing errors, wastage, and costs. * Led Safety Committee and Safety Program to ensure compliance with OSHA and other
