I had multiple vending machines I hit every day. Each day was a different route. I collected money and settled at the end of the day. I injured myself on the route and worked in the warehouse ringing cans that had been brought back in by the drivers. I rang them up and made the warehouse look exceptional. The plant manager was very happy and asked me to fill in for a loader that was out on short term disability. I filled in for him and did such a great job he asked me to be the warehouse manager on 2nd shift. I couldn't get a transfer out of my department so I couldn't take the warehouse managers position.
